Dan

I am a British writer, born in Uganda, but reared in the fabled land of Devonshire, where I used to run around with sticks and pretend I was a wizard. My imagination has always heaved with the fantastical, and I daydreamed my way through various global expeditions, including two years teaching in Japan, before landing in Berlin. I write because I want to get stuff out of my head and into yours. I am currently wrestling with a fantasy epic which when complete will be at least 9000 pages long (right Jan?). Meanwhile, I write short stories and poetry, particularly reflecting on the impact social media has had on our everyday lives, which evokes in me a cocktail of terror, amusement, trepidation and concern. I believe social media is wreaking havoc with the way we traditionally interact, sometimes for the good, often for the bad, thus making it ripe for exploration by us writer folk. I also like stories with cats in them.
