My name is Jonas Rump, and I was actually born in Germany, so please excuse my German accent. I think I began to love storytelling just by sitting next to my father at the lunch table - man, he’d have a lot of stories to tell about the people from our hometown. It took me some time to realize that books are made out of the same stuff as my father’s lunch talks. I just started reading and writing in my early 20s or so, I was a late bloomer. But now I think it’s the most beautiful thing in the world (apart from Gaby of course). In November 2021, my first book came out. It’s called “Nottuln - Traurige Geschichten aus einer traurigen Kleinstadt”. Nottuln is my home town. The other thing means “Sad stories from a sad small town”. I essentially lifted material from my father and made it a bit sad and a bit funny. The best stories are those that we’d tell our friends and family. Now I’m working on my novel. Wish me luck.
