Rebecca Rukeyser is a fiction writer and the recipient of the inaugural Berlin Senat grant for non-German literature. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and has taught creative writing at the University of Iowa, Bard College Berlin, and Heinrich-Heine-Universität, Düsseldorf. Her debut novel, The Seaplane on Final Approach, is forthcoming from Doubleday, Granta Books in 2022.
