I grew up in London, then lived in Glasgow, Sydney and Tokyo before settling in Berlin in 2008. I live in Kreuzberg with my wife and two children. While the kids are at school I write. Two novels so far – historical thrillers set in 16C Europe – as well as articles on art and music, press releases, websites, reports, voice-over texts... I have to write at least a few lines of something every day. I worry if I stop for too long, the men in suits will come and tell me it’s time to get a proper job.
