We went up to the Bastei in Sächsische Schweiz early in the morning to capture the morning light. The weather was perfect with a light cloud cover providing us with soft, but not dull light.

Making use of the tilt/shift to get (some) focus on both eyes. Due to the time it takes to focus, put in the film holder etc., everybody gets into a contemplative state of mind (in other words: they are bored), which gives strong expressions in my opinion.
